So here are Hoko's 5 little boys.  The last one is "Simba" and he is adopted already.  And the  third picture is a boy who is also adopted.   But there are still 3 boys still available.

And here are the three girls from Hoko's litter.  One decided to find a very unique way to eat her dinner.  All three of Hoko's girls are available.

hope you enjoy the little peek.

Pictures, at last.

a

Hello, this is Cherished Siberians in Culpeper, Va. and it is a COOL day.  We got all used to warmer air and not heaters on and then.....BOOM...hit with cold weather again.  No wonder everyone is getting sick.  Everyone call your weatherman and tell them to stick to one thing now, hahaha.

The kittens are doing very well.

This is my beautiful Kassandra.  She is the mother of these four:

Babies peeking out of the "birthing box", which, now they are very good at climbing in and out of.

And here is one of the girls playing on the small scratching post play station.

Here is a close up of one of the little girls sitting on my small green sofa, Ilike to take pictures on.

And here are all four curled up taking a nap inside the "birthing box".   Soon they will not be in the box at all, they are already all over the living room.

Here's Hoko with her brood a few days after the birth.
It's a big job, but Hoko finds a way to handle it.  She is just the best Mommy ever.

All 8 little babies in a huddle.   Now they have their eyes opened. So I will be posting new pictures soon with their little eyes open.  They are all doing very, very good.
Thank you for watching my blog and my babies.  I love them all. (smile)

HOKO had her Kittens (8)

Good morning.  Hoko had her kittens, and yes, you read right!!!   She had eight kittens.  No wonder she looked so big.  They are all doing wonderfully and two have been spoken for already.  Hoko had 5 boys and 3 girls.  They are all Colorpoints ( colors will show up later as they age)  But Gareth, the Dad, is a Blue Lynx Point and Hoko is a Blue Lynx Point, so the likelihood is that they will all be the same coloring.  Blue Lynx Point.  Which means they will be lighter, cream colored all over, but their ear tips, tail and possibly feet will have the grey coloring.  And the Lynx part is the stripings of blue (grey)  across their little noses.  My daughter is supposed to help me get some pictures up today or tomorrow.  Sorry for all the trouble I am having with putting the pictures up.   I used to do that with such ease.  Then my computer died and I had to get another one and nothing works the same.
Only four kittens have sold out of the 12, so you have a good chance to get your baby now.  There is one Colorpoint left from Kassandra's litter, as well as the Blue Tabby in her litter.  Both girls.
In Hoko's litter there are 3 boys and 3 girls left available.  All Colorpoints.  Please call 540-727-8950.   And with your $200. deposit (non-refundable, but goes toward your total of $1400.) towards the kitten of your choosing, the baby is reserved for you and your family.  And so much love and enjoyment for years to come.
So have a wonderful day and enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather outside and come back to see the site again.  From Culpeper's Cherished Siberians;  this is Doreene Richmond saying "Hope you are keeping a warm and fuzzy feeling inside about kittens."

Kittens Were Born

Good morning and Good News!   Kassandra had her kittens yesterday.   They seem to be all girls.  I do have a waiting list to go through, but still contact me about kittens, because Hoko will be due in about 3 more weeks as well.  She looks so big already, I wonder how many she will have.
I am so glad we had a few really nice warm days.  Spring may be here, but the beautiful weather will follow when it feels like it.  Oh well, the gardening season will soon be in full sway.
Indoors the kittens are staying warm by mom's side. And keeping warm is an issue with newborn kittens, for the first 8 days a kitten cannot generate its own heat, it depends on the mother cat to stay near for warmth.  And Kassie is doing a wonderful job as new mom.  {smile}  GOOD JOB KASSIE!
To inquire about the kittens please go to cherishedsiberians.com,  or call 540-727-8950.
Have a happy day today and enjoy the outdoors and let's  "Spring" into life with a happy heart.  Bye for now from Cherished Siberians in Culpeper, Va.

Waiting for Kittens

Hello to all.  Here at Cherished Siberians in Culpeper, Va.  things are getting ready to be very busy.     I am actively sitting with Kassandra as she is into her time period when her kittens should be born.  I have had several people calling on a regular basis to see how she is progressing.  And I have to admit, she is mystifying me in her refusal to birth these kittens.  (smile)  I know they will come when they are ready, but I have been on alert at work so I can rush home to birth the babies if I am at work at the time, and sleeping by her side at nights and am anxious to see her little ones.  She is a very sleepy girl these days.  And that is fine.  She will need lots of energy once the litter is born.
So I will stay  by her side as long as I can and continue to sleep near her until I can give you good news.  Hopefully very soon.

Introducing GARETH from Russia

This is a very cute picture ( even if somewhat blurry )  of my new breeder boy  Gareth straight from Russia.
He is a fun loving boy, and HUGE.  And so incredibly affectionate.  I just love this guy!!!
He loves playing with toys, and chasing around.  He is quite the clown sometimes.
Here is a picture of him playing with a toy and Sophia (one of my kittens I am keeping for my next years' breeder girl).  Doesn't he look happy though???
Contented and happy.  And so am I.  He is the best cat I could ever have hoped for. His mama in Russia had to have been so attentive and loving and sweet to have raised this perfect cat for me.  (smile)  He has the most intense blue eyes.  As soon as I can capture the right angle, I will put his royal blue eyes on the blog.  I can't get it to come out right with the evening lighting in the room.
Can you see his white "boot" feet?  All four feet have the white paws.   He has already mated with Hoko and I am hoping to see that she is pregnant in a few weeks.

In other news, Kassandra was back out with Joey a few weeks ago  and it looks hopeful that she is REALLY pregnant this time.  So  I will let you know for definite in a couple more  weeks.

A happy week-end wish for all from Cherished Siberians in Culpeper, Va.  And I hope you enjoy the pictures of Gareth my boy from Russia.  I just love him, and am happy to have him as part of my family.

Hoko's Kittens All Gone

Hello.  Hoko's kittens have homes and I kept 2 so that I would have new breeders come 2018.
I am hoping that Kassandra is pregnant now.  And she would be delivering in about 7 weeks if she is.
Whenever I can get Maliha pregnant again, I will need to keep 2 of her girls too.  So that I will have breeders a year or so after they are  born.  The male cat I have been using for my breeder male, Blue Ridge Joey, will be retiring in a few more months.  So I needed to have kittens from Hoko and Joey and from Maliha and Joey, so that the girls I keep from these two girls  will be able to mate with the boy I just got from Russia.   His name is Garreth and he is quite the beautiful boy.  And soooooo affectionate.  Maliha and Hoko can mate with Garreth because they are not related at all.
Unfortunately this is probably Kassandra's last litter, because she is too closely related to Garreth to mate with him.  And Joey will be retired, so I will have to retire Kassandra as well.  But then she will have a loving forever home.  And she is still very young.  She will have a long and happy life.
Maliha is getting to be at an age where I will need to consider retiring her before too long as well.  But I believe I am going to home her here with me.  We have a special bond.  And she loves me too much. (smile)
Hoko still has a few more years to work for me and as soon as she is about 5 years old I will retire her too.  Being that Siberians can live 15-20 years, she will still have a long,  happy, forever home to be a great companion to her new family when the time comes.
Thank you for reading my blog and keeping up with news here.  I am running behind on pictures and blog entries because I had gotten that respiratory infection illness that was going around and I was down and out for 3 weeks.  That was one nasty illness and everyone I was talking to had gotten it as well.  It must have been quite an epidemic.  I'm glad I'm over it now.  It was rough.
Bye bye to Hoko's babies now, they have loving families and I was really happy with the ones who took these little ones home.  I just wish the one boy really had been a girl because that family wanted a girl so badly.  I hope I can have one for them soon. They seem like a loving family too.
Thank you all , from Cherished Siberians in Culpeper, Va,    keep coming back for pictures and updates and coming attractions. lol.
